I have been really busy lately. So busy that I did not have much time to post on my blog. Feel bad for neglecting my blog.
Took up a freelance job recently to do product photography. A job that I never thought I would ever do! A close friend of mine, approached me to ask me if I am interested to take up the job to do photograph shooting for her company’s products. She said that I could just go down and do a trial, if I am ok with it, then we can continue with the engagement, no obligations.
To be honest, I am not a professional photographer non an active photographer and my photos aren’t very fantastic. So I was pretty worry of screwing up and not meeting the standards. Since my friend said that I could just do a trial and no obligations, I decided, why not, since I have nothing on hand now.
Phoof! That started the whole chain of events! Now and then, I will be there taking photos of their products when needed. Is a very interesting experience. I have learnt a lot for taking photos for product to photo editing.
I thought it was easy money, until when I started it… That’s lots of work to be done in order to take a few shots of the product! You need to focus to make sure that it’s arranged nicely, not crumple like a garbage. Needs to make sure that it looks real when using it not like some fake AA product.. I almost fainted!
After the hard work at the shooting, there comes the hard work at the digital imaging (DI). Learnt this term from my friend. Haha. Anyway, it means, cleaning up the photo so that it can be used on the web. Is another tedious work to be done! But I am very impressed on what Photoshop can do! My friend taught me a few tricks, it was marvellous! So much time was saved! It really makes a difference when learning from the pro!
After so much talk, so here is a screenshot of the brand of the products that I have shot for! Ta-da! Yes, is Converse! Haha! Lovely products! Thank you Converse Singapore!
